Noorani Qaida — reading from the first letter
Letters and their articulation points, then joining words, then elongations and sukun — ending with reading a full surah correctly, unprompted.
Course · children and teens
Two tracks inside one course: a beginner track for ages 4–8 and a teen track for ages 9–15. The same teacher every week, and a written report on WhatsApp.
A free 15-minute intro — no card, no sign-up
Quran classes for kids and teens at Katateeb Online are live one-to-one lessons of 30 minutes with a certified female teacher, split into two tracks by age: a beginner track for ages 4 to 8 built on repetition and pronunciation correction, and a teen track for ages 9 to 15 combining recitation, tajweed, structured memorisation and revision. Start with a free 15-minute intro — no card and no sign-up — and inside a monthly subscription the lesson price is $7.5, so cost starts at $30 a month. Lessons run on Zoom Saturday to Thursday, and each week you receive a written report saying what was memorised, what was difficult and what comes next.
The difference is not only in the content but in how the lesson itself runs: a young child needs repetition, a teenager needs a plan he can see and measure himself against.
The lesson opens with what was memorised last time — revision before anything new.
The teacher repeats any verses with a pronunciation or tajweed error until they settle.
New verses are recited and repeated with the child until he reads them alone.
What to memorise before the next lesson, written into the weekly report.

In the first month (4 lessons at the lowest subscription) the first lesson assesses the child, then a regular portion begins. A child who already reads the letters usually finishes two to four short surahs from Juz Amma. A child who does not know the letters does not begin memorising at all in the first month — he begins with the Noorani Qaida, which is faster in the long run, not slower. The number differs from child to child, and we do not promise one before seeing the child in a real lesson.
